Turkey’s Zero Waste Project Wins UN Award

Murat Kurum, Minister of Environment and Urbanization of the Republic of Turkey, announced Turkey’s Zero Waste Project was honored with UN Development Program’s Global Goals Action Award.

“The Zero Waste Project, led by First Lady Emine Erdoğan and embraced by all segments of the Turkish society, earned international praise and received United Nations Development Program’s Global Goals Action Award,” said Minister Murat Kurum.

Pointing to the objective of the Zero Waste Project, which is to inherit a liveable world for next generations, Minister Kurum added, “I express my gratitude to First Lady Emine Erdoğan for her valuable contributions to the accomplishment of our project along with for their cooperation for a clean environment”.

 

The leading company of the trade fair industry, CNR Holding, attaches particular importance to the Zero Waste Project, which has gained significance throughout the world and Turkey. The Largest Trade Platform catering to companies in the fields of environmental technologies, recycling, and zero waste, ENTECH, will be organized with the support of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, Union of Municipalities of Turkey, and KOSGEB (Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization of Turkey) at the center of global trade, Istanbul Expo Center, between September 02-04, 2021. Supported by First Lady Emine Erdoğan and the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, the exhibition will host Zero Waste Forum, one of the industry’s foremost forums.
